Monstera Thai Constellation

This unique variety of Monstera originally comes from the Southern Hemisphere and is known for its distinctive leaves featuring a marbled pattern of cream-white spots and an elegant appearance.

The leaves of the Monstera Thai Constellation are large and deeply lobed, which is typical for Monstera plants. As the plant matures, the lobes become deeper, and even 'holes' can develop in the leaves, enhancing its tropical look.

Care

The Monstera Thai has average water needs. It’s important to keep the potting soil lightly moist but ensure it doesn’t become too wet. In winter, you can water a bit less.

Avoiding excess water is crucial, as it can cause root rot. The Monstera Thai thrives best at temperatures between 18 and 27 degrees Celsius.

Maintenance

Brown leaf edges can be caused by too dry air or lack of water. Increase humidity and check your watering routine.

During the growing season (spring and summer), you can feed the plant a liquid fertilizer every four to six weeks. In autumn and winter, when growth slows, extra nutrition is not necessary.

Right Location

The Monstera Thai Constellation needs a bright spot to develop its characteristic spotted leaves well. However, avoid placing the plant in direct sunlight, as this can scorch the leaves. The lighter areas in the leaves contain less chlorophyll, making them less effective at absorbing sunlight. Therefore, a location with plenty of indirect sunlight is ideal.

Avoid drafts and temperature fluctuations, as these conditions can damage the plant and affect growth.
